Production Blog

 March 29th

Today's focus was on editing the footage I've taken so far since the beginning of this project. Although I am disappointed to say that my filming won't be done before march ends. I did meet up with my filming crew on two different dates throughout spring break. However, those sessions were mostly comprised of brain storming potential scenes, edits, and title ideas. If this experience has taught me anything procrastination isn't worth the future hassle in the end. Now I have to wrap up my film sometime after my upcoming track meets to avoid any distractions. The only topics I've covered today consisted title cards and effects. Rather than use the two fonts I intended to use in my title cards I changed the fonts. Graphik Compact for the main title. Academy Engraved LET for the studio and production company. And comic script for the actors in the opening scene. The more I add title cards, the more my project begins to look like a real life film. This conventions serve their purpose greatly. Moreover, for the Film title card I added a freeze frame to the scene to make the title of the film stand out. I also changed the color of the scene to a comic like theme to support the movie's pitch. Each actor's name is colored based on what they're wearing for creativity. All my cast members have the reviewed the film so far and enjoy the results of my work so far. hopefully, we will began filming again this weekend. Preferably Saturday since I have nothing planned at the time.
