Genre Decision Blog

 For my opening scene, I'm choosing to film an action-comedy genre. This way I can combine both of my favorite genres for the final project. Doing just a comedy film will prove to be difficult since the jokes will have to be funny but appropriate at the same time. Thus, when I refer to the guidelines that I must follow for my final project, the best way to keep it simple and less confusing for the audience would be to incorporate light bits of humor. that way it's not the main focus of the movie. for example the movie "21 Jump Street" . Although some people can argue that the film was produced as an action movie, the director uses light humor throughout the film which combines the two genres. That effect on the audience is my goal for this project. Another example would be "Kingsman The Secret Service," this movie combines the genres of action and comedy a whole lot better. from huge explosions caused by state of the art spy gear to clumsy trips down a flight of stairs.

Individual  For this project I decided to work by myself. In our current condition as the coronavirus pandemic continues, I believe it will be a lot easier to work alone at my own pace. This way I won't have to rely on others to get their part of the work done. I'm very confident in my creativity to produce a well throughout and entertaining music video. I plan to use actors outside of Aice Media Studies . This means my closest family or friends are likely to be apart of my video when we get to recording.  On March 11th, I filmed the first 15 shots my opening scene for Nunchucks VS. the world. I'm still looking into a better name for the title of my project but until then I don't have anything better. It was a lot of fun filming for he first time on this project since all my other attempts had to be cancelled. Personally, I didn't expect to spend so much on shots that I had already planned out in my storyboard. Most shots required retakes or comparisons for the best optimal take. As I realized this during the filming session, I knew right away all my shots could not be covered in a day. However, I'm okay with that being the case because not only will this make my film more organized, I also get to spend a lot more time with the actors who are better known as my closest friends.
