Planning Storyboard For My Music Video

 For my music video, the story will consist of a young boy coming home to sleep on the couch. as he sleeps, the boy dreams about a wacky adventure based off the last thing he saw. (The song So Much Fun plays throughout the entire video).

First and Second Scene 

In the opening scene of the music video, the camera tilts down from the sky to the house below. Our main character is walking from the driveway to the door of his home. between scenes 2 and 3, the camera will get a close-up shot of the MC opening the door and entering their home.

Third Scene

The MC sets his bookbag by the couch and turns on the TV. They will pick up the remote on the couch while sitting down.

Fourth Scene

A shot of the MC listening to the song "So Much Fun" on the TV is taken behind their back. It also shows the MC looking at their phone on Instagram.

Fifth Scene

A close-up shot of what the MC is looking at on their phone is shown. It appears to be a wanted poster of a dangerous criminal currently on the loose.

Sixth Scene

The MC falls asleep on the couch and the camera zooms in while their eyes are closed.

Seventh and Eighth Scene

Our main character appears somewhere else and is startled by the sudden change in setting. he appears next to a pool and looks around with confusion.(At this point he is dreaming all of this). The MC looks ahead to see two people held hostage by the edge of the pool by the masked criminal from Instagram. He assures the hostages to sit tight as he confronts the bad guy.

Ninth Scene

The MC and the Masked criminal start to brawl out in an epic fight scene. The camera cuts to the hostages in the background of the fight very briefly.

Tenth Scene

It appears that the MC has defeated the criminal and he is unconscious while laying on the floor. he dashes to free the hostages by the edge of the pool before the masked criminal can get back-up.

Eleventh Scene 

both hostages get up an flee from the scene. however, the criminal gets backup as well and charges the MC right into the pool. As he charges, the camera is shot from the perspective of the criminal. This shows the MC's reaction towards the incoming assault.

Twelfth and Thirteenth Scene

In the final scenes of the music video, our MC wakes up on the couch soaking wet as he spits out water. He somewhat grabs a hold of his bearings and puts his hand on his head as a sign of confusion. The song fades out and the scene goes black.

Individual  For this project I decided to work by myself. In our current condition as the coronavirus pandemic continues, I believe it will be a lot easier to work alone at my own pace. This way I won't have to rely on others to get their part of the work done. I'm very confident in my creativity to produce a well throughout and entertaining music video. I plan to use actors outside of Aice Media Studies . This means my closest family or friends are likely to be apart of my video when we get to recording. If things were different and school went back to the way things were last year I would've considered working in a group. However, Communication and organization will likely be difficult to control since we'll have to take in to account safety guidelines for covid protection.  On March 11th, I filmed the first 15 shots my opening scene for Nunchucks VS. the world. I'm still looking into a better name for the title of my project but until then I don't have anything better. It was a lot of fun filming for he first time on this project since all my other attempts had to be cancelled. Personally, I didn't expect to spend so much on shots that I had already planned out in my storyboard. Most shots required retakes or comparisons for the best optimal take. As I realized this during the filming session, I knew right away all my shots could not be covered in a day. However, I'm okay with that being the case because not only will this make my film more organized, I also get to spend a lot more time with the actors who are better known as my closest friends.
