Editing Blog: Music and Duration
Personally, the editing process was quite easy for me, considering I have experience making content before. This process took me about 3-4 hours to finalize. I wanted my commercial to look as professional as possible. the first step was to dump all the scenes into the editing software chronologically. The transfer was smooth without any errors. I chose iMovie as my source for editing. After all the scenes were set-up properly, I picked out the best transitions for each shot. this was important because the wrong transition could make the commercial basic or less consistent. Next, I edited the background music into the commercial to give the storyboard the signature theme. The music helps fill the atmosphere with motivation as it directly corresponds with the storyboard. Lastly, most of my time was spent on the duration of the commercial. However, changing the duration affects the music queues as well. So far, I've settled with 38 seconds because if I pushed the commercial any lower specific shots will go by too fast. Also, the music won't match up with the scenes properly. Once I established the length and music queues, I added the school motto at the end of the shot.
