Production blog

On April 10th, I successfully recorded all my shots for the opening scene I've been working on. The finish product resulted to about 1 minute and 46 seconds of footage. However, a lot of factors played in to why this came about. Originally, before I started editing the second half of the scene, the total time added up to about 2 minutes and 16 seconds. Further examination was made which required me to cut one scene out. In the shot Mc was walking away towards the bad guy and his assault on a random victim. Unfortunately, my shadow was caught in the scene as well. This setback not only ruined the shot to be used but there's just not enough time to reshoot and try again. Apart from that I continued to knock back the total time under 2 minutes so that it wouldn't go past the time limit. Once that was taken care of, I added the remaining title cards needed for my project up until the end. This included who the film was produced by, directed by, and filmed by. Because I chose to work alone on this project most of name was displayed throughout the scene. The exception that I couldn't take credit for were my supporting cast members which also happens to be my closest friends. After reviewing the nearly finished product, all that's left is to add the music and a few more special affects. Moreover, I'm thinking about changing the title of the film to something more obvious based on the events that transpire in the opening scene. I just want to make sure the audience can view the pitch and see my ideas on how to go about it in my film. With that being said, I'm wrapping up my editing for the opening scene as we speak. For the new title I was thinking of changing it to High school Nunchucks. It's still a work in progress.
