Filming Blog: Part 1
On November 28th, I began rehearsal for my music video at my friend's house. Over thanksgiving break I intended to film earlier in the week so that I could have time for possible make-up days. However, due to personal circumstances, production of my film had to be on hold until the weekend. As of right now, I plan to schedule another filming day between the 1st and 4th of December. Moreover, filming the music video on Saturday proved to be quite difficult with the time change. Since the day ends a lot faster, some scenes had poor lighting. This made the transition into the next scene uneven. I still proceeded to record majority of the couch scene but by the time I made it to the pool scene it was already pitch black outside. Thus rather than making it the official filming day, I will now adjust the time when production must start on the make-up day. Also, rehearsing some of the storyboard proved to be beneficial for my camera man since we can now blow through the intro with less takes. Overall, all the shots that were taken are great apart from the lighting difference, so, filming itself wasn't an issue, only the time of day must be adjusted to maintain quality lighting. I'm extremely curious to see how well the pool scene plays out since we never covered how those shots will go. The fight scene should be completely improvised but everything else should closely reassemble the storyboard.
