Commercial blog: FLHS track team
This commercial has to be one of the most exciting projects that I've worked on so far. Being able to represent my track team and all the work we put in feels me with pride. I appreciate my friends/teammates for taking up roles in my commercial. From what they told me, they enjoyed being apart of this project because of the cool storyboard that played out. Between planning out this commercial and editing the final product, my skills in content making feels more refined than ever before. Honestly, I didn't know how creative I could be when imagining the commercial set-up. What helped me get through all of this was the use of proper conventions such as a track setting with equipment, outfits, and achievements. If I could change anything, it would've been to play more roles in my commercial. But sadly, I had to make sure each scene was shot to my liking. As far as duration goes, I was able to trim down the commercial to about 35 seconds, even if the goal was 30. Making the commercial meet the required time proved to be difficult than I thought because of all the scenes. However, this setback only pushes me to make my message more concise the next time around. I hope to pursue a career in media. Whether it's acting, filming, or directing, this was a very interesting project to produce. Practicing stuff like this now will most certainly better my understanding of media and theatre subjects. I can't wait for the next filming assignment in store so that I may sharpen my skills even more towards creating quality content.
